Board:
A longboard generally can be as short or as long as the rider desires, though the board should not be longer than the rider's height, as that would cause loss of control. The most popular length-range is about 32 to 60 inches.
As well as usually being longer than a trick deck skateboard, longboards may also be equipped with larger, softer wheels which afford a smoother, faster ride depending on the durometer it can be slower. However, there are many different uses for longboards, as shown below.
Types of riding ( uses ):
1- Downhill: is when the longboarder down a hill at high speeds which are usually in 30km up to 120km / h, this use is very dangerous and you need experience and protections
2- Freeride: Is when the longboarder ride in the street or down a hill making slides and others tricks this, is the use more common for longboarders. For slides you need a gloves with poliubretano or a resistent plastic to use how supporting point.
3- Dancing: Is when the longboarder " walks " on the board and make tricks only with the foot. Usually in this use you don't make slides.
4- Carving: Is when the longboarder move the board for the right and left, right and left successively. This use simulates the experiencie in surf, but in the street.
